    Watching Andy Lee...

Embitters me, knowing how much more John Duddy makes per fight because of his ability to draw in New York. Lee is far superior to Duddy in almost every ahtletic category, save for chin.

I believe Andy Lee to be the top middleweight prospect right now and a serious threat to dethrone whoever is atop the division, in 2009. I like how he can muster power with both hands while maintaining his distance and keeping his man off of him.

    Carl Daniels gets the business

I remember seeing one of his KO's on youtube and the timing was beatiful.

I read that Steward said that Lee would beat Pavlik, and that Lee would be a champion by the end of next year.

I see your point though with Duddy, (excuse the pun) being a duddy, apprently getting a shot at Pavlik in June.

Hes very good, but im not as impressed as everyone seems to be. He looks good knocking out these heavily overmatched guys, sure. But i dont think he's a threat to anybody at the top of 160, nor will he be in just 1 year...

In his last fight, he was sloppy and ugly, and his opponent wasnt good at all.

I hate it personally when people see a very young prospect and start saying he's a threat. LET HIM BEAT SOMEBODY GOOD BEFORE WE START SAYING STUFF LIKE THAT!!!!

Personally, i dont even think Lee will able to beat Abraham by '09. Give the dude more time. They are rushing this kid to the top.

And Duddy has more star qualities, AND he gives the fans their money's worth every single time out. He deserved these paydays, and at this point in time, most certainly deserves more pay then Lee.

Lee will be making much much more money in a few years anyways if he's brought along correctly.

And getting knocked out in early '09 by one the Middleweight champs is NOT being brought along correctly

He's a little undersized, dontcha think?

Why do you think Manny is matching him up with smaller middleweights.

Taylor and Pavlik are both horrible style matchups for him.

KBall i like you but what have u been talking about lately? Sloppy? Andy Lee? Lee is not a sloppy fighter, hes very snappy,i actually watched the fight, and didnt see NOTHING sloppy, besides the fact he was in the hardest fight of his career, and he made it look easy,i watched it to the end,and not at 1 point did i see sloppyness or uglyness,he just got hit more times then he usualy does, which isnt alot, you have been posting some weird **** in these past few weeks, which is not usualy like you

Im not even Lee's biggest fan,i like about 5 more prospects more then him,but in no way is he the way you describe him,he's one of the best looking prospects out there, skillwise hes got alot,he aint ready for Pavlik, next year maybe, not this year

                Interesting article mentioning Lee:

"The Kronk style was not what he was used to back home at the "Arkansas Dixie Club," where Taylor said, "They bring in sparring partners, guys that I beat up and do what I want with." One of Taylor's first ring mates at the Kronk, middleweight prospect Andy Lee, had no intention of getting beat up -- or letting the new kid on the block do what he wanted with him.

Lee, just 2-0 and a 2004 Olympian from Ireland, is not an ordinary prospect. Steward considers him so special that the trainer was in Lee's corner for his professional debut in March. While that may sound pretty routine, consider that the last time Steward bothered to work a corner for a boxer's debut was 29 years ago, in 1977. The kid that night was named Tommy Hearns. Another measure of Steward's confidence in Lee, is that he took him to Europe to help Wladimir Klitschko improve his quickness in his winning title bout against Chris Byrd last month.

When champion Taylor and super prospect Lee first stepped in the ring, all activity stopped. Taylor figured the guys wanted to watch a champ in action. But from the first punishing blow Lee hit Taylor with, the champ knew this wasn't just a mere sparring session. Lee wanted his belt.

They went at it fast and furious, with Taylor getting as much as he gave. "It was nip and tuck," Steward said. When it was over, Taylor came over to Steward excited and enthusiastic: "Man, I'm not used to that," he said. Some champions, Steward knew, didn't like to be hit hard in sparring sessions. The mean side of Taylor, Steward sensed, got off on it."
