In all fairness though there is more to Boxing than just being tough u need to have a mixture of talent & toughness

IMO genetics are what seperate the good from the exceptional ,power ,speed ,durability ,big heart , natural gifts that u are born with bascially that u cant really develop

u need to be intelligent to be a good fighter IMO aswell in Boxing terms of coarse

Well i been training for almost 9 months and im proberly going amatuer next year but i understand what you mean its a very tought sport.
It helps if you have a passion for the sport like i do i just love boxing in real life and on games lol.
I have been 12 rounds before with headguard on with a bigger guy he was 24 and im 19 it was basically a real fight because we was tryin to win lol i won only by 1 round but it was so hard ive done it twice now all the muscles in your body are tense afterwards trust me.
I have never been knocked off my feet but ive been close this kid who was younger but smaller then me hit me with a big body shot then i cudnet move at all he was hammering me for about 30 seconds but it felt like 30 minutes lol i just had to take everything i was blocking alot but taking alot i just cudnet move i realise what body shots do to u when u get a gd one lol.
The must thats happened with me gettin knocked down is my glove touching the canvas but it was my fault i was against a faster guy and he hit me when i tried to duck to lol so if he had followed up he could of dropped me.
I have took beatings and given out beatings thats how boxing is bloood, sweat and tears thats what the sports all about.
Its alright to train at ur own pace but if u rearly want it you gta train hard i think the hardest thing for me at the moment is eating properly lol i always seem to sway from my diet end up eating crap then having to burn it off lol.
In boxing when you eat ****ing crap it makes training alot harder for u thats one thing you must always know you gta try eating gd lol its dam hard though.
well hopefully il be amatuer next year ive sparred big boys and small boys from feather wieght to light heavy and im always afraid before i go in the ring because i havent been doing it long i havent gone past my fear yet but im getting there.

Yeah but my toughness is my standout quality. I also have a half decent jab and a good left hook, and a fair bit of power in my right hand.

Good luck. It's a really rewarding sport. My advice: Keep throwing the jab, keep moving your feet and try and relax. Also remember that amateur judges like humble fighters, and good sportsmanship is really important if you want to develop as an amateur. If you act like a **** (not saying you do or that you will!) then you'll have trouble getting enough fights to get into open class. Win or lose anyone you share the ring with is a fighter, and a kindred spirit.
