Paul Williams: "I Want Shane Mosley Next"

i dont see shane winning this fight, its a lose lose situation for him. paul is just taking advantage of a more popular fighter to become more well known. not only that shane just came off a loss, and i dont think paul williams will generate enough money for him. i hope shane doesnt take this fight

I could see Shane Mosley accepting this fight. Its a good payday, a very good fight, and a nice sendoff into retirement because its definetly a fight he could win.

Shane Mosley just fought Miguel Cotto, and kept his own in defeat. This against a young, strong champion - so most feel there was no shame in his loss. Paul Williams beat Antonio Margarito to become champion let me rephrase that; a fighter who the casual fan knew little of, and who the public as a whole knows nothing of, beat a fighter who the casual fan knew little of, and who the public knew nothing of. Does that make sense?


Every fighter, champions especially, want recognition. If Williams was to beat Mosley, a fighter most people have at least heard of - I'm speaking of casual fans again- it does quite a bit to bolster Paul's boxing stock. Sure, maybe it doesn't accomplish much as an actual belt-holder...but it helps his overall resume.

I give Paul Williams credit for calling out Mosley.People were saying that if Cotto beat Mosley that it would put Cotto on another level.Why is it bad now that Paul Williams is calling out Mosley who lost to a great fighter.Williams has alot to gain from this fight.There is the money thing and the fact that he beat a great fighter,who still after his loss,seemed to fight at a good level of competition!

No need to face SSM right now, he is coming off of a loss and I don't think he could beat Williams anyway. Mosley has trouble against opponents bigger than him and Williams is alot bigger than him.

Mosley did give Cotto trouble in the fight, even though Cotto won a fair, perfectly scored decision. Don't count Mosley off, he'll suprise you all if he were to accept this fight, he's still hungry and not a shell of himself like most fighters his age
