This is a result of Mayweather not wanting to fight anyone who is not going to bring a huge payday. As a fan, and as someone that doesn’t want to pay $50 every time to see a “big fight”, it's not my favorite thing but I do have to respect the business aspect of it.

In any case, this is also why Cotto is willing to fight De La Hoya. This is a good way (if they win) for both Williams and Cotto to become bigger names and thus more attractive opponents for Mayweather.
