The only point one of the posters made was that there is more to lose in boxing than in Tennis. If you lose in tennis, you get to walk away, while in boxing, you might get carried out and hopefully you are not dead or ruined for life.

You can also lose in Tennis, like Roger does, and still be called the best right after. For instance, when Roger lost to Nadal, Roger, by majority vote, would still consider him the best and not Nadal.

I feel your frustrations but the fighter ain't putting his life on the line for his fans. He's doing it for himself, his family and the money it brings.

Is that selfish/greedy/unfair? Quite possibly. But for me it's always gonna be better than 30+ years back when fighters were routinely exploited for the sake of the fans.

          Please.......UNDERSTAND THIS.

I never said it happens, all i'm saying is it could easily happen in any given year given the way the rankings are structured.

So again it comes down to the fighters attitute, not the structure of the sport.

I read when he said that, and I agree, but as you see in his previous post, he says all you have to do is win tournaments to call yorself the best, no matter the players or kind of tournament. That's what I was referring to.

Yeah i said that .......and i'm damn right.

If you win tournaments and get to #1 spot in the rankings you can call yourself the best.

And just like any boxing belt holder you may not be right but you can still make the claim.

Ah, he is wrong. The top players go after each other constantly, not just because they want to face the best, some do, some don't, but that is where the money is, plus there is a little bonus of getting better playing better players. Nadal might not like to face Roger, which he jokingly said he doesn't in the Finals, but he will because that is where the money is, that is where the #1 spot is and it will make him stay on top of his game.

Like I said, tell me any player in history that has not entered Wimbledon or US Open that was ranked #1 in the world, otherwise your argument doesn't hold much purpose.

So can u HONESTLY say that Floyd is the "best" WW in the world due to his win over Baldomir?
