Cintron Orders Steward To Get Him Margarito

In a follow-up to a press release issued a few days ago, trainer Emanuel Steward tells BoxingScene.com that IBF welterweight champion Kermit Cintron (29-1, 27KOs) has ordered him to line up a rematch with former champion Antonio Margarito (35-5, 25KOs). [details]

While I do think he is ducking Paul Williams, you have to give credit to Cintron, He wants to avenge his loss and erase any memories.

I think Cintron is a better fighter than he was before but Margarito still wins this fight.

He is clearly ducking Williams IMO. It seems like is fine to fight Margorito but his hand is still injured for the Williams fight. What a ****ing joke!

You can't have it both ways. When he wanted to fight Williams, people cried he was avoiding Margarito. When he calls for a fight with Margarito, people cry he's avoiding Williams.

IMO, he should beat the guy who blew him out in five before fighting Williams. If he beats Margarito, then a unification with Williams becomes interesting.

No one is crying about him avoiding Margarito except maybe Viva Mexico, How can you avoid someone who already beat the **** out of you? Paul Williams vs Cintron unification was scheduled for February and Cintron pulled out due to the Hand Injury. Now he wants to fight Margarito, where is the hand Injury? I am not critising him because it is okay to fight Margarito because Margarito beat him, it is the second most logical fight, what I dont understand is why did they schedule to fight Williams in the first place if they really wanted the Margarito bout?

So after all this press about Cintron.........what is everyone going to say if Tony just knocks him out again. Like nothing had changed and Cintron however powerful in his own right can't escape the barrage of hookercuts, chopping rights upstairs and uppercuts to the body.

In reality I don't see why there's outrage over that move. Because to me........that's pretty ballsy. He's calling out the guy who easily disposed of him and gave him his only loss......trying to avenge that.

That's what I'd say is as good of a choice of a fight as would be an immediate showdown with Williams. There are other dates.

If he fights Margarito that would show some stones on his part, saying that.

Margarito is going to spank him and powder him again.
