1. If you were the number 1 contender rated by the ring, would you fight the 2 man or the champion (who also holds another belt, while the #2 has only one) while they were offering you the same amount of money?

margarito offered $8 million before baldomir even fought judah. a whole year before mayweather fought him.

2. For those who say Hatton was a Jr.welterweight and too small for a welterweight, why did Julio Casear Chavez become a sucessful welterweight or why did Pernell Whitaker become a sucessful welterweight. Or how about the fighters fighting at welterweight when boxing had no jr.welterweight if they weighed 145 pounds were they too small?

did you see hatton against collazo?? you could tell he didnt belong in the division. chavez was not a great welterweight he was at his best from 130-140. are you trying to say hatton is on the same level as chavez and whitaker?? do you even watch boxing??

I have to say that not all Margarito fans think he's the best, He's good and a hell of an exciting fighter and would give any WW a hard time for sure! The reason why Some of us think he would beat Mayweather Is because he would Use the same game plan as Castillo, Hatton and Chavez but the only diffrence is that Margarito is bigger Hits hard and has a chin of steal. Hatton was doing good but he's used to gettying hit by 140 pounders, we all saw what happen when he 1st moved up to 47. Margarito is a big WW and I think he would be able to take Mayweathers punches. Even dough I have Respect for Mayweathers skills I think the only way he beats Margarito is if he fights him like he fought Castillo the 2nd time. Mayweather UD
