Or maybe they were just past their primes, kinda like Jones was when Johnson beat him.

That was not smart pressure, that was constant hounding of a fighter who no longer had the abilities he used to. Watch Roy Jones vs Brant Brannon if you wanna see how a prime Jones deals with that kind of fighter.

And yeah, Hopkins brought constant pressure, have you seen the fight?

Exactly, also I cant believe he said McCallum was'nt a pressure fighter...

Exactly, walk through thier shots, keep up the work rate, and stay on them all night like white on rice. thats the style to beat a speed fighter, prime or not.

So using that logic...Johnson beats Dawson?

ok two completly different fighters. Dawson does not only rely on speed . hes a masterful pure boxer on top of the speed. he would know how to deal with Johnson. plus hes a slick southpaw.

LOL! i seen the dudes name and turn it off. i automatically knew that he was a no name and was never elite. we can't take any infromation from that fight. give me a top and elite fighter that put pressure on Roy. it was out of Hopkins character to bring pressure so he failed.

              Johnson.
Roy was much faster with much better movement and boxing in his prime than Chad Dawson. To say otherewise shows a severe lack of brain cells. He would know how to deal with Dawson? That's all you can come up with?

What is your point? Johnson was never a top or elite fighter before he faced an old Roy, but he beat him by applying that same type of pressure. A prime Roy Jones was quite a bit different, as shown in that video.

What does the bolded sentence even mean? Or are you just trying to twist a bunch of words together to act like you know what you're talking about and confuse me?

Hopkins didn't bring hounding pressure, he brought the smart, calculated pressure you're talking about, and still got throughly outboxed. A guy with the style of Johnson would've gotten taken out just like a Brannon or a Merqui Sosa.

Lol...I'm a fan of Chad Dawson but I'm talking about a Prime Roy, who was Quicker, Stronger and a better boxer than Dawson.

Dawson is the future but Roy was the better fighter.

I don't think I've ever agreed with slicksouthpaw16 on anything. I agree his arguments are full of twisting of words and he's very close minded. Plus you seem to think that replying to everything makes you 'win arguments' just because you're willing to type a lot? Well that's just denying a lost argument. I like you because you don't always go into flame wars(Although I don't know why I had you on the edge when you had to keep posting that 'owned' icon: out of character) but please, stop thinking that you have more knowledge on Boxing than everybody and you gotta stop being so biased/close minded.

Agreed there, and with most everything else as well. Not a bad kid, but not as knowledgable as he'd like to think.

Actually Bernard Hopkins was effective at pressuring in his younger days, it just happened when he got older he changed his Style, because he knew he would'nt be able to hurt opponents anyway when he was elder. Bernard is a better BOXER now than he was before , but he was a better pressure fighter. Check his fights out 1992-2000
