id pick chavez over canes
and vanesboxings overhyping of vanes is starting to piss me off.. i am somewhat impressed by vanes and would like to see what he has to offer in the future but it would be better for his record to do the speaking. this guy dan wallace is a bum and its not really TOO impressive that he KOd him first round.
anyways anyone see the chicken dance at 2:29Comment

finally a non hater man...
first thing everyone else looks at and states is how bad the opponent is, but come on man, do you see the stiff jab of Vanes? do you see the speed? can you feel the POWERR?? none of those have anything to do with who or what the opponent is, they are simply qualities Vanes is working hard to perfect and his sheer power is inate, nothing that can be taught.
He improves every fight and this one was by far the biggest improvement. I can't wait till some of you see what me and few others are already seein in Martirosyan, and it WILL happen in 2008Comment

Please. As if Vanes Martirosyan even has "haters" to begin with.
I think at this stage of their careers, you would have to look at quality of opposition and experience. Which heavily lean towards Chavez Jr.'s favor.Comment

hahahahahaha you cant ask people what they think and then call them names when you dont agree with them. hahaha funny...Comment

In that video he doesnt really impress me. Sure he's got good footwork and fast hands but he might as well be fighting a punching bag in this fight. Show me some more videos before I make my decision.Comment

lol thats funny, calling people fools for thinking Chavez Jnr will beat him.
Out of all the contenders at the 2004 Olympics, Vanes has made the least progress in professional boxing.
Andre Berto-WBC #1 and IBF #2.
Amir Khan-WBC #9 and WBO #4.
Alexander Povetkin-IBF #2.
Vanes Martirosyan (not ranked even in the top 15 of any major boxing organisation).Comment

to me Vanes has progressed more than the gold medalist Andre Ward, more than the supposed next DLH - Vicente Escobedo, and the rest we don't even hear of.Comment

but he hasnt made more progress than those listed so it's all null and void.
Why compare to those below you why not compare with the likes of berto and povetkin??
After all in your opinion vanes is the big best thing.Comment
