      Roy

I still think the weight loss (which was muscle, not fat), at his age, an how fast he did it the way he did it, destroyed him. He was like a ghost afterwards. Funny thing is, it happened to Tarver when he did it a similar way and at 35+

Joe Louis handspeed was alot faster than most realise. His one punch speed was proberbly faster that Ali's not his jab his power punches. He sat down on his jab which is underated.

Roy Jones would be caught jumping in with a big Left hook from an odd angle which only contributes to Louis power and would KO jones.

In his prime, his short punches were incredibly fast, sharp, and powerful.

I wonder if people are watching the past prime version of Louis, post the War.

              I'm picking Joe Louis.

If Roy Jones was at his peak and weighed in the high 180's or low 190's, this would be BY FAR Joe's hardest fight to win. Styles make fights, and Louis was flustered by clever boxers. RJ is more disciplined than to outbox him for 11 rounds and then go for broke in search of a KO.

But I'm still picking Louis. Fast hands, great finsher and he's not revered as a pound for pound great for nothing.

                jones, by KO

Louis was way to slow and he was susceptible to knockdowns because of his poor defense.

Roy Jones was susceptible to Knockouts because of his poor chin.

Louis Handspeed was immense he could pressure Jones like he has never been before. A punch that Louis could generate would hurt Jones through the gloves.

At his peak around 200 lbs. The difference is that he didn't need to be juiced up like RJ was.
