Not that simple to me. I can name another fight where Steele didn't demand answers before letting him fight on. Check out the first Barkley-Hearns fight for example. Hearns was in much worse shape than Taylor. It was obvious that Taylor was distracted by his cornerman being in his ear the same time Steele was talking to him. No doubt that Mel was hurt, but he deserved to hear the decision. As for him being ruined as a fighter, he went on to win a welterweight title against a pretty good opponent (Aaron Davis) after that.Comment

There was only 2-3 secs. left there is no reason Steele should of stopped that fight I don't care if he didn't respond or not he wasn't going to take any more punishment. I see noway JCC would of got off another shot. Bad call in my book.Comment

And if a football team kicks a last-second field goal, should we disallow it because "there's only 2 or 3 seconds left"?Comment
