People forget that steroids are not for the 36 minutes in the ring. Or that 60 minutes on the field. Or the 10 seconds on the track. They are for that day-to-day training. It allows you to train longer, harder and more frequently. And the benefits of that training is the event performance.
In those 36 minutes, the hits you take help you recover quicker due to roids, not only they enhance you conditioning wise but the punches you take, you have lesser affect than usual. I always wondered how Mosley went 12 with Forrest after the beating he got.

In that case I'm deeply dissapointed, you think someone would ask questions or have the athletic commision examine something before injecting it.

it only puts a short time period into play though so you can't accuse him of something you have no proof of pre-second DLH fight.

"I didn't know anything about that stuff. It was something given to me, pushed up on me. I'm a health freak-type of guy. I like to have everything organic, natural."

According to the SI.com report, evidence seized during a raid of BALCO showed that Mosley had blood work done measuring his hematocrit levels — the volume of red blood cells. There was also a calendar in Mosley's file with July 26 circled accompanied by the word "start'' and the letter "e" by Aug. 8 and it noted that his levels had increased from 44 at the start to 52.2 (an abnormally high level) on Aug. 8, according to the report. In his statement Mosley does not address the issue of whether he took EPO.

Mosley said he recalled taking two blood tests "to see if I was low on iron or calcium."

        Strike two:

How is EPO used? Who will give it to me?

EPO is given by injection. It may be injected directly into a vein (intravenous) during dialysis or under the skin (subcutaneous). It may be given by a dialysis nurse or by the patients themselves.

        Mindbat,

The suppliers did provide alibis... until they got busted. Nothing will make
that supplier spill the beans like an immunity agreement or a plea deal.

If you remember, Victor Conte came to CJ Hunter's (Marion Jones' husband) defense on national TV during the Olympics. But when BALCO got busted, Victor was forced to tell the truth. The feds seized all the records. Including the doping schedules and test results for many athletes...including Shane Mosley.
Then, Shane should be aShamed of himself.

Do your homework. Landis didn't use steroids. He used another performance enhancing drug, but not steroids.

I dont think Clemens took steroids either, I thought he was on hgh. At any rate, do your research and prove me wrong.

Steroids promote MUSCLE GROWTH and they help with injuries.

Boxing is a skill sport and the better skilled fighter usually wins. While size does matter, it is not hte end all be all.

If that was the case Mr. body beautiful Tommy Morrison would of been champion of the world.

And to me the argument others are doing it doesn't sit well. E.G Marion Jones. In athletics im sure everyone else is doing it.But you have to take a stance.
ok i'll take a stance: the ppl that care about winning the most take steroids. roy jones took em, james toney took em, mike tyson, the klitschkos.. i bet ali and kelly pavlik too.. not everyone that takes em looks like a bodybuilder. i know because im experimenting with them as well. the effects are very real.. i always knew mosley was on roids when i heard he bench presses over 400 pounds.. THAT MAKES NO SENSE. many of the pros use and its not always obvious. i bet shane wouldnt have done so well against cotto without roids

oh and sam soliman is obviously on roids too look at him

              Sin,

Don't you find it odd that Shane (who lives in the fitness hotbed of southern california) would go up to Burlingame, calif (san fran) to find the ONE lab that has undetectable steroids??

Isn't it also strange that ALL of the people who got busted ONLY did it for the time that they got busted?

When somebody gets caught for a crime, don't you KINDA think that they had done it before but only got busted THIS time?

How incredibly, magically lucky was the government to catch EVERYBODY on their first time? Wow. The Feds are good.

Real men do it the right way, only *****s take short cuts or try and cut corners. If you can't take the pain then you shouldnt have the gain.

I understand VERY WELL the use and structure of steroids.

When I use the word "steroids", I use it interchangeably with "Illegal performance enhancing drugs".

Those PED's may include EPO, insulin, etc. While those are not "steroids", they fall under the "banned PED" umbrella and people generally understand what you mean by 'steroids".

I bet Canseco feels a little vindicated now after all the venom spewed in his direction.
