i dont think floyd will do very well in mma. MMa is nothing like boxing and given floyds style he wont last. When it comes to straight up fighting he would do good but once he gets taken down its over. Look what happened to Ray Mercer. As soon as kimbo got him down he was done. I see the same thing happening to floyd. Maybe Im wrong but thats my opinion.

lol.... theres a lot more to avoid being taken down than just being quick. Actually its a skill that takes years for guys to develop..you know its called "Takedown Defense". Put Floyd in the Octagon tomorrow against a decent fighter and I guarantee you hes going to get taken down in no time.

Theres a **** load of training that goes into that. Guys go over drills for that all the time...thats not some thing you automatically know how to defend against another professional out there...it would be ******ed to assume so.

Mayweather would absolutely embarass himself in MMA, he would get taken down with ease and either be submitted or get his face smashed in by ground and pound.

I voted "yes", and perhaps I misunderstood the question.

I took it as "would Floyd Mayweather the athlete do well in MMA".... not as "would Floyd mayweather the boxer who starts learning ground game at 31 years old do well in MMA"?

Floyd is a tremendously well-conditioned athlete with great focus and composure. He is technically the best. Very well-schooled. Very ring smart. He isn't physically dominant, but he also has no physical weaknesses.

So, he is essentially "a gracie" or a "nick diaz".

They would face Mayweather against bums for at least 10 straight fights knowing that they could have him defeat bums and still rake in the money.

              Very much agree.

I haven't wrestled at a high level in years. And I could still take Floyd down.

You obviously don't know **** about MMA if you put Nick ****ing Diaz in the same sentence as Gracie. The greatest MMA fighter of all time is Fedor Emelianenko, followed by Randy Couture,Matt Hughes and Royce Gracie.

In my opinion, Royce is the GOAT...

I was comparing Floyd to Nick in terms of conditioning and focus. I ddid not imply or say that Nick was an all-time great.

You take your sentences too seriously. People can have similarities without forming a direct link to their level of greatness, you plebe.
