Floyd Mayweather Mulling Move To MMA?

1. It takes decades to learn how to sprawl against beyound Olympic level grapplers.Boxing is not going away....
the Best boxing match is more glorious than the best UFC match....
Coralles vs Castillo or Cotoure vs Lidell
Both sports will be around but the hating needs to stop...
Floyd might prove doubters wrong...it doesnt take a rocket scientist to learn how to sprawl or do a Kimora....any surfer can do that...
2. A Kimura is one of about 10,000 submissions with about 10,000 ways to set it up. It takes some people 15-20 years to reach a black belt in BJJ or JJ. A Black Belt is not even the highest rank and thats not including no gi training with strikers, like what is used in MMA. Nobody gets caught in Kimura's except unexperienced strikers, like Floyd. You won't ever see any type of grappler past a ****ing Blue Belt get caught in some piece of **** like that. Especially from someone with less skill then a White belt like Floyd.
Get ****ing serious. Thats like saying Matt Hughes could outbox and dominate Floyd in a boxing match and Hughes has more experience with striking then Floyd has with Jiu Jitsu.Last edited by Trax416; 12-22-2007, 02:15 AM.Comment

i would think it's a hoaz just because mayweather would just be looking to make some noise and get people going... personally though, unless someone came to him with something he felt he couldn't refuse... why would someone like mayweather who has brittle hands and since his body is apparently "breaking down" go to mma. because he says he wants a 2 year break and what not as well, and it would take him a good amount of time to get together a ground gameComment

I'll say this, no top MMA fighter could possibly take on a top boxer in boxing. A top boxer could take a top MMA fighter in MMA. All it takes is a single shot. Of course I realize that if went to the ground it would be over immediately but there is that window of an opportunity for a boxer when both fighters are on their feet.Last edited by βetamax; 12-22-2007, 02:19 AM.Comment

A Top kick-boxer for start. A Kick is longer than a punch and much harder. I've seen a tiny guy knock out a giant with a kick.I'll say this, no top MMA fighter could possibly take on a top boxer and win. A top boxer could take a top MMA fighter and win. All it takes is a single shot.
