I agree. If we look at both punches landed, and who they were landed by, it happens.
Oliver McCall is a big MF and so is Rahman. Oliver's punch, Lennox didn't even appear to see it coming, and McCall had full force behind it. Rahman, he loaded it up and unloaded on a direct shot to Lewis's exposed chin, which he was actually coming into since he bounced off the ropes a bit prior to the punch landing.
Exactly, also Lewis took them lightly and weren't prepared properly enough.
And the McCall punch he walked right onto it which doubles the power.
Lewis took plenty of great shots and better than the ones that knocked him out by better punchers.
Media hype was Ali, media hype. Lots like The Beatles in music circles.
As for me knowing **** about boxing, quiz me on anything boxing-like...anything. I'm sure you'll discover I know far more about boxing than you suspect.
So what's your top 10?
Ali is based on resume and the two quick facts, he was undefeated prior to his exile and when he came back, which took a lot out of him and had to adapt, he still beat top fighters.

In no particular order -
Ray Robinson
Ray Leonard
Marvin Hagler
Khaosai Galaxy
Floyd Mayweather (yes, Floyd Mayweather)
Roberto Duran
Bobby Chacon
Roy Jones Junior
Jake La Motta
...and a whole lot of boxers you and me are too young to know about, and what YouTube videos don't have for us to see.
after your sum up of muhammad ali... a quiz is not necessary
i didnt say he was the greatest... but your theory is absolute ****
Actually I don't think my theory is ****.
Ask any 'man in the street' who the greatest band ever is, they say 'The Beatles' because that's what they've been fed. The Beatles have become canonised.
Ask any 'man in the street' who the best boxer ever is, they say Ali, because that's what all the pro-America TV/radio stations have rammed down peoples throats. Muhammed Ali has been canonised.
No 'man in the street' knows about Bernard Hopkins or Roy Jones or Khaosai Galaxy or any other boxer who wasn't plastered upon the silver screen by Hollywood or NBC.
Ali was average, and I stand by that. To equate it to music, just like Elvis, average dude.

i didnt say ali was the greatest... i dont fall into that trap either...
but your statement is still ridiculous... ali was far from a blown up welterweight with a ****ty jab.... and im confident that no one else would agree with that...
