Just because Bernard isn't exciting doesn't mean he's not a legend. Nobody said Bernard would beat Hagler, Hearns, or Leonard. Hopkins happened to do his thing when there weren't any great middleweights around. 20 defenses is still 20 defenses. Keep in mind he's still winning and he's in his 40's. He's one of the most intelligent fighters in the sport, and is the best middleweight of his era.
