what is up with all these Margarito threads. Is this still not the same dude who has had a lackluster career who nobody knows. He finally get some light and he gets his butt kicked by a green Paul Williams. Is this the same Margarito who couldn't get a win off Daniel Santos twice? who won his title off an eliminator and it's the weak WBO belt. He couldn't even beat the champ of that weak belt. He hasn't fought not 1 proven fighter or P4P fighter in his whole career. Is this the same margarito who throws those wide looping punches and can't move side to side to save his life? Margarito sought to fight many p4p's who all turned him down - Floyd, Oscar, Winky, Cotto, Mosley twice. Flyd was the most intriguing case because it was Floyd himself who said it would be easy work and Margarito is a D level fighter. If it makes dollars it will make sense. Arum offered the money on three ocasions last year but Floyd avoided the "easy money." leading many to believe Floyd was actually ducking Margarito because he saw him as a very dangerous threat who could upset the applecart.

The impresive showings vs. Clottey, a damn good fighter, with ankle and hand injuries actually added to his reputation though the haters falsely say if Clottey didn't hurt his hand he'd have won. Margarito also gained in stature in the narrow loss to Paul WIlliams who at 6-2 and a busy tough smart southpaw is the worst nightmare for any champion, including Mayweather.

But Margarito had the honor and courage to face Williams and almost pulled it off.

Margarito is a major threat to Mayweather, still is and will be until Floyd steps up and makes good on his promise to fight him when it made "business sense."

Hey how about now FLoyd? Margarito would be easy money. You deserve an easy fight after a busy 07. Margarito D level fighter, would be easy money.

If everyone keeps "ducking" Margarito, by the time he retires, Mexicans will be talking about the 9 footer mexican warrior who was ducked in world boxing for decades.
