A retort answering absolutely nothing described.

Which is hilarious... what other nation other than America delights in ignorance? If someone talked to me about towns in China I'd be ASHAMED if I didn't know.
It's called an EDUCATION. The fact that you revel in not having one and think that puts you on a higher plane is hilarious

Guys,
You gotta decide on when you are gonna make distinctions among the various UK countries. Or not.
I called Paul McCloskey (a Northern Ireland fighter) a "countryman" of hatton's, and was eviscerated for that. Yet, they play on the same Olympic team.
Tom Jones - who is Welsh - sang the national anthem for the UK.
Joe calzaghe is often referred to as "British" and never corrects anybody.
Northern Ireland is a bit of a sensitive subject for some people but as it is part of the UK then you were correct in your labeling of him.Comment

Let me explain further so that you understand.Which is hilarious... what other nation other than America delights in ignorance? If someone talked to me about towns in China I'd be ASHAMED if I didn't know.

China is a nation from one the biggest continents of their hemisphere both economically, politically, militarily and in terms of world meaningfulness.
The United States is a global power - politically, economically, militarily. The diversity in the USA cannot becomapred to the UK in any way as well.
The UK isn't. No one cares.Comment

Okay, cos that was quite funny (though why the Hatton KO as a retort? Have you not seen my avatar?) I'll tell you.
I won't go through each one cos I need to take a ****, but here's the gist:
English/Welsh/Scottish = British, of the British isles. (of which Northern Ireland isn't a part). It's a collective term for three separate countries with three seperate cultures and MANY historical rivalries.
So someone Welsh is British, someone Scottish is British... you get the idea.
If Calzaghe wins, he's British. If he loses, he's Welsh.
But why would someone accuse a Hatton fan of being blind through being "Welsh"???? Someone with a vested interest in Hatton would either be English or British, no?Comment

American: What's with all the random alliances in the UK?
Greenteef: What are you on about? They're all separate countries.
American: But Northern Ireland shares an Olympic team with Great Britain.
Greenteef: They're both part of the UK, you twat **** scouse.
American: Scotland is part of the UK, yet has its own Olympic team.
Greenteef: Uhhhh, **** off . Mate.Comment
