Ricky Hatton IS A Clubfighter

Actually it was a 7 inch reach advantage, but thats besides the point. Skill and smarts win fights. Not aggression, not pressure, not speed, skill and smarts. From watching Floyd's whole career, basing on what really wins fights, it was obvious Ricky would only win if he knocked Floyd out.Comment

Ok, I'll stop going by HBO numbers.Actually it was a 7 inch reach advantage, but thats besides the point. Skill and smarts win fights. Not aggression, not pressure, not speed, skill and smarts. way to sidestep the issue.Comment

I see you're an expert. Could I ask, how many world titles have you won by "jab[bing] your way in with your guard up"? Or perhaps you are not a fighter, perhaps you are a trainer. How many world titles have your fighters won by "jab[bing] [their] way in with [their] guard up"?You have to jab your way in with your guard up.
You see I don't think you have to have a world title to criticise a world champion, but I do think you have to have a similar or greater level of experience if you're going to offer advice.Comment

Dropped, even?
Ricky Hatton:
Jabs landed: 11
Jabs thrown: 63
% Landed: 17%
Rounds Fought: 10
Jabs landed per round: Ummm, one.Comment

But short fighter CAN still land more than one jab per round.
See Pernell Whitaker. See Mike Tyson.
Cotto is shorter than Mosley with a significant reach disadvantage. Cotto effectively used the jab.Comment

With 20 in long arms, what do you expect?
Floyd:
Total punches landed, 129
Rounds fought:10
less than 13 punches per round landed against an extremely easy to hit, 5'6" with 20" reach "clubfighter."
Best fighter in the world, yeah right.Comment

Then this board should be pretty empty.I see you're an expert. Could I ask, how many world titles have you won by "jab[bing] your way in with your guard up"? Or perhaps you are not a fighter, perhaps you are a trainer. How many world titles have your fighters won by "jab[bing] [their] way in with [their] guard up"?
