He waited to capitilize on Hatton's mistakes as oppose to bringing the fight to Hatton. Floyd didnt turn it up until he had Hatton hurt. Like i said, it was a good win, but if not for the TKO, it would've been another case of Floyd doing "just enough" to win on points.
i GOTTA disagree deevel79..HE did what he had to do in there , nullified the left hook to the body and TKO'd his opponent. It was just his opponent that he chose is what i had a problem with. Imagine if Floyd did that against Cotto OR SSM..wow....

I wouldnt be a hater anymore thats for sure.

Oh dont get me wrong, he did take away Hatton's offense. The TKO was also impressive. That's why i said that Floyd primarily focused on avoiding punishment. Given Hatton lack of defense style, u would've though that Floyd would've turned it up alot more than he did. For the majority of the fight, he was just doing his usual "one and done" routine.

imagine hoW great his record would look with these names on it & they are all winable fights for him all have suffered losses except for Cotto

        Dela Hoya
        Cotto
        Pacquiao
        Mosley
        Winky
        Hatton

noW that is one impressive CV
I can agree with those fights. But at what weight would the Pacquaio fight be made at? Considering Pacquaio came into his last fight weighing 144 I can see 147 as a possibility and I also believe PBF comfortably make 140. Wright IMO would be the toughest fight.

I hear you. Certain fighter like Hatton and Baldi who rush in, its almost the easier to just pick them off like that until late in the fight when they have slowed or are slacking on there defense. I take nothing away from Floyd performance in that fight but I can critisize him for not fighting a legit welter and say he is vacationing for two years...

He was anlalyzing Hatton's style and adapting to it. Once he adapted he started turning on the heat and got the KO. The first 3 to 4 rounds of his bouts are dedicated to assessing your style and coming up with a counter-measure against it.
