People will never claim PBF is the best ever on what he has achieved. Every current boxer there is will always have impressive records. Before PBF it was RJJ and i was thinking what will RJJ have to do to be better than SRR and ALi?
PBF done well to beat Hatton but the way he beat Hatton i wasnt thinking that is some special performance. PBF did what he had to do but it wasnt performance of a GOAT fighter. Nor was his performance against DLH etc. Dont mention that he was above his fighting weight. PBF is a welter, lightmiddle now anyway.
Beating Cotto and doing it spectacularly will do him good. People would like to see PBF at middleweight but who knows whether he would ever attempt that for a one off fight.

I dont think its possible to pass SRR but he can pass Ali:

Here is my 2 step final solution to Floyd being #2 all time:

        Unify WW titles

        Break Marciano's won/loss record

        Boom, there you have it.

If he won a the middleweight title of either Pavlik or Taylor i'd give him serious thought as the greatest of all time.

Maricano's won record has already been broken in the lower weights (Ricardo Lopez anyone?), just not the heavies.

I think PBF belongs in the Pep mould. He is alongside Pep in a way but differnet to the SRR. Offensively PBF is not where it is at. He has mastered his defensive skills but his attacking skills are lagging behind a little.

No, I give him allot of respect but it would be more serious if its done @ welter.

Lopez fought at light fly, not straw.

He was also a hell of a boxer.
