Malignaggi needs Hatton more than Hatton needs him. I'm sure Paulie would fight Hatton instead of meaningless mandatories. He wants the big pay day. Hatton is in more demand than ever. Everyone wants a place on the Hatton gravy train. You're naive in thinking he has limited options.

a guy like malignaggi who has almost no knockout power has to hold onto that belt as its his only bargaining chip to get on tv and call out other fighters, i like him as a fighter, but without knockout power or real stopping power, take whatever he can get.
