who has a better record, mayweather or B-Hop?

Not to take anything away from Kessler, because I do like him as a fighter, but what exactly did he accomplish that makes him better than b-hop? His wins over Andrade, Mundine and Henry Porras are bigger and better than de la hoya, trinidad, tarver and winky wright??
I tend to take accomplishments away when I assess who is better. At the end of the day, we are talking about the present are we not? I'll take a 28 year old Kessler against a 43 year old Hopkins who is becoming less and less active every single day of the week. In Kesslers case a stoppage isn't out of the question, nature dictates that it is quite likely that Hopkins will turn up soon to one of his fights as a shell of himself, and himself at his peak I would argue was as Good as Kessler.

This who has he beat argument is flawed. Americans fight eachother.

I think people forget to realize that Bernard is insanely good at ****ing up your style. He did it against Taylor even if he lost those fights (Personally I think he could have won both of them), Tarver, Winky, etc.

I'd think he'd do it to Kessler and Calzaghe. Especially Kessler because he doesn't have the athletisicm you need to help you against Bhop. Even then, Bernard still does decent against Athletic boxers.

the past is the past. BHOP is no longer prime. He may have all the knowledge that made him who he is but having the knowledge to do something and actually DOING it are 2 different things. BHOP just isnt the same dude who your nutting over homie. BHOP doesnt fight the way he fought against the names you listed anymore. Why is that so hard to understand? its like saying Tommy Morrison is still a threat because of who he's beaten.

See post above. I still think that Bernard would beat Kessler.

Yeah, but I'm talking fast paced athleticism like Jones or Taylor. While Kessler's great, I think Bernard be able to match it.

Calzaghe on the other hand...has a pretty good shot at beating Bernard. I think Bernard could pull it off and have bets some points on him because he's my favorite fight, but man that's a tough fight for him.

I think Bernard would drop Calzaghe's punch rate considerably, but Calzaghe is just so fast it's unbelieveable. Is there a super middle or light heavy weight faster then him minus Chad Dawson? I can't think of one.

Hopkins is little more than a glorified spoiler at this point.

He might still make Kessler look bad, and he will definetely make Calzaghe look bad, but that ****e isn't going to be enough to beat either of them at this stage.

This is very true. We could all break down Mayweather to look like a second rate hack! We could do the same thing to Roy Jones, James Toney, Duran, Leonard...The fact is though that a great fighter is a great fighter. Bernard Hopkins is a great fighter. Get over it.

Edit: Kessler would not beat Hopkins. Not even a chance. Hopkins has way too many tricks in his bag to be beaten by someone like Kessler. If Hopkins can still beat Tarver and Wright he would beat Kessler pretty easily.
