Mayweather wasn't in his prime when he fought Castillo, either.

It was his 22nd or 23rd pro fight, and he was 24 years old. That was a super green Mayweather. The Floyd Mayweather now is 10x the Floyd Mayweather of then.

He has learned a lot since then, and if Floyd were to fight the prime version of Castillo NOW, at this stage in his career, it probably wouldn't even be close.

And do you honestly think that was a prime Mayweather that fought Castillo? You're kidding yourself.

          Your thoughts?
Absolutely not. While Whitaker was at his very best against pressure fighters, Floyd has shown himself to be pretty much at his worst. Against Chavez's protege, a man who was never even close to reaching Chavez's heights, Floyd had the most difficult fight of his career, many thinking he lost. Chavez was everything Castillo was but on a higher level. At 130 or 135 I think Chavez decisions Floyd. The Chavez of the Rosario fight for sure. I think he cuts off the ring too well(as Catillo did) and lands good shots, while taking some, but dictating the pace of the fight.

I am typing with a cast on right now so I will not get into my whole analysis of this fight unless it is asked for.

What does that mean? Mayweather was by far at his best at the lower weights, so yes, I believe everyone knows it was a prime Mayweather.

You're views are amazingly distorted from the truth. I believe you're the only one who thinks that. Mayweather at 130 was BY FAR the best Floyd, arguably the best to ever fight in that division. Watch him fight, it's clear as day, he was better in every area than he is now, other than being conservative. I thought it was common knowledge that Mayweather was known to be at his best 140 and below. Super green? LMAO, he was one of the top P4P fighters in the world, and anyone that watches him at 130 and says he is better now needs to have eye surgery.

Your opinion. Well, there like *******s, and they all stink.
At 140, it's not even a doubt in my mind.
You see, JCC was out his prime when he got beat by DLH. Thats your reasoning? What weight did that fight take place?
Mayweather fought a out his prime DLH at 154.
                Won.
Fought a much bigger, stronger DLH, that basically took Mayorga out with a left hook.
The SAME DLH THAT DESTROYED JCC both times they fought.

At 140, 135, 147, Mayweather beats JCC. Prime or not.
what a joke of a post.....

                -------------------------

for once c-drone and i agree, like i said before 130-135-140, chavez wins.......

                floyd wins at 147....

Mayweather by a BLOWOUT. And it would be fun to watch too.

                  Mayweather ain't no Meldrick Taylor.
And Chavez got a ****ing birthday present, wrapped in a Christmas stocking with that bull**** stoppage of Taylor.

                  Oh yeah, **** Richard Steele.
Wow I'm absolutely appalled that you're a Sweet Pea fan with a moronic post like that.

Appalled by what? Common sense? I don't hold Chavez on the all time pedestal like some of you ****ers. His gaudy record aside, faced with REAL competition, Pea, DLH, Tszyu, he falls flat.
At 140, Mayweather knocks JCC's **** in the dirt. If you don't agree thats fine. The same people that are arguing with me are the same people that probably picked Hatton to eat Mayweathers lunch. So in "Imagination Land", Mayweather beats JCC rather soundly in a one sided UD. Don't like it? To bad.

Here is the question would Mayweather be prepared to lose years of his career in 1 fight?

People Chavez is master at cutting off the ring and he doesn't come in and just throw like an idiot like Hatton.

Chavez has a controlled aggression and he makes his punches count and i'm not sure Floyd has ever or will ever face a guy like Chavez. And to those that compare Castillo/Hatton/Cotto with an all time great like Chavez need to have their head examined immediately.

And the Wittaker/Chavez comparion is a joke.
