Floyd Mayweather vs Julio Cesar Chavez

I think it would be a repeat of Whitaker-Chavez except Floyd will get the actual decision.

    Your thoughts?

It would be a different fight because Floyd is a lefty.

Floyd cant tie up Chavez as easily as Pea did. He would land his shots but Chavez would keep coming and coming.

    I think Chavez wins this.

my dad would beat the **** out of me if he ever read this, but Floyd would take this one by atleast 3 points. Chavez was too much of the "determined worker" to compete with a surgical Floyd.

What would your predictions be at 140 and 147?

I think Chavez would actually do better at 140 but still lose.

One punch at a time floyd don't cut it against Chavez. And does floyd get to hit Chavez low or not -as Whitiker did? Castillo was a version of Chavez and well we all know Mayweather lost to Castillo.

You forgot the part where Floyd dominates him in the rematch and where he wasn't hurt from an injury. So if Chavez is like Castillo, then Floyd wins.

Seriously, I think Mayweather would win. I don't think so at 135, but at 147. Maybe 140 too.

Floyd is too slick, he INVITES punchers to fight on the inside because his primary instinct is to protect THEN strike, take as little damage as possible then find his spots and use them, Floyd is a genious, Chavez wouldn't be able to narrow him down, he caught Taylor but EVEN Taylor wasn't as skilled as Mayweather, his defense wasn't up to par and for those who hold names up high, NO, you don't fly here, you don't pertain because simply at a menchine of a *****z name you already saying Floyd will lose without even considering, I'm CONSIDERING what BOTH brought to the table and Floyd brings more, Floyd is more skilled than a lot of guys, try to find someone in some particular fight that can match Floyd's ability compared to the Hatton fight? you can't right? it doesn't even have to be Hatton it can be anyone, try to name someone who played with THAT kind of opposition the way Floyd has, I'll sit here and wait ALL DAY for you.. Floyd would have beaten Chavez, at 135 he had a lot of trouble with his hands so MAYBE not there but in terms of skills he would have beaten him there too, Chavez was probably the BEST Lightweight BESIDES Roberto Duran but the guys Chavez fought at Lightweight don't match HALF of Money Mayweather's skills, read'em and weep.. 100
