How come Cotto never mentions anything about Paul Williams?

First Williams calls Margarito out, then he beats him in front of his fans, then he calls out Cotto after the Margarito fight, Before the fight Bob Arum says the winner of Margarito-Williams will likely face Cotto, I've heard rumours of Cotto mentioning Clottey, DLH, Mayweather, Margarito and even Ricky Hatton, but not once he has mentioned anything about a fight with Williams being a possibility. When Williams beat Margarito Arum said that he is not interested in that fight, and before the fight he said something different...So Williams cant get a fight with Cotto although he calls him out, then he calls out Cintron, and then Cintron says he has broken his hand or some ****. Williams is the most avoided Welterweight in the world, and I think if anyone has a legit chance of causing problems to my boy and maybe even beating him its Williams. I'm a fan of both Mayweather and Williams, more so of Mayweather but im being honest.

I dont think Williams can unify until the other fighters fight him, even Quintana wants to take that loss with an extra $20,000 so atleast he gets paid more because he knows there wont be any big fights in the future.

Cotto knows he is about to lose soon, thats why he wants his lose to be against Mayweather....instead of Anybody Else....

Cotto style is catching up to him, and he knows it....
      That's why..!

If i was Cotto i rather lose to Mayweather and people say well ok you were suppose to lose to Mayweather he is the best.....

Than lose to Williams, and people called you a fraud...!!

Well a deal to fight the winner of Williams/Margarito was never in place. A deal to fight Margarito if he wins was in place. And a fight with Margarito is easy to make for obvious reasons since Arum is put in a win win situation. I doubt he cares who wins that fight just as long as he benefits from it.

As far as him mentioning peoples names, the only thing I've ever heard or read him say was that he wants all the champions. He's only said Floyd's name specifically that I know of, and he seemed disgusted at the idea of a Margarito fight in the Mosley press conference.

Besides, if you were 5'7 and had better options than to fight a guy 7-8 inches taller than you with an overhwelming reach advantage, then why would you take the fight? To prove a point? Then what happens when he loses? He misses out on millions of dollars is what.

So there's no reason for him to take such a risk, just like Floyd wouldnt take the risk for Margarito when he could make the same amount of money fighting Baldomir for the Championship.

Actually, Cotto did say that it makes more sense to him to fight williams instead of margarito. margarito had his chance and opted to fight williams, and williams is better than margarito and has a belt was his reasons for rather fighting williams.

But he calls out lots of other Welters, not just Floyd. Excluding Williams.

Parody, you have an interesting point.

Margarito was'nt a risk, williams is.

Floyd has the same reach as Tony, and Tony is only 3 inches taller, now Williams is 6'2 with an 82 inch reach. I have also seen both fighters fight at their best, Margarito would'nt have a chance in beating Floyd, whereas Williams would because of their styles.

And to answer your question if Floyd had beaten Margarito, people would talk about who is the undisputed welterweight champ? Floyd has the status of being #1 Welterweight because of the Baldomir win like or not + more money than the Margarito fight.

If he did'nt get that win people would probably have Cotto as #1

lol @ this Williams clown. He has you guys totally fooled.

A fighter coming from where he comes from, fighting the way he fights will never be a world class fighter.

Isn't he from Oklahoma or some ****? You just dont get good fighters from that area and that is fact.
