We wont know that untill it happens. It is easy to say one fighter is better than the other based upon what we see them do in the ring. Floyd's actions recently have shown that he has no interests in Miguel Cotto and vice versa so continuing with this Cotto >> Mayweather or Mayweather >> Cotto game is quite elementary.

What is worth talking about is how Cotto has agreed to fight someone that could very well end his run as a WW super power. That, sad to say (because Floyd is one of my favorite fighters), is more commendable than anything Floyd has done recently.

Yet boxing is no longer about accomplishments but rather how much $$ you can bring to the table is that not right? Is that not how Floyd is choosing his opponents? Gone are the days were Olympians where celebrated athletes. Gone are the days when the public paid to see a Boxer fight because he was actually good and worth seeing. I don't think anyone from this generation will ever compare to Floyd so making such an obvious comparison, as you have is pretty weak. Floyd is THIS generation's prodigy. But like every prodigy, he has competition that he needs to beat to continue being considered what he is today. I'm waiting for that day.
