Why do People Called Boxers like PBF a Runner..?

If avoiding punishment were the stuff of "track stars"

why do you find equipment in every boxing gym that improves head
    movement?

Why do fighters wear ankle weights?

    jump rope?

And simulate ducking punches when doing pad workouts?

If I threw something at your head, hopefully you would have the wherewithal to move out of the way. ...

    Or

Would you Stand there get hit, and then throw something Back....?

    Generally Speaking....

I think fighters only resort to fighting flat-footed because they have no choice. and boxers like Mayweather has plenty of options, so he doesnt stand flat footed...., instead he boxes on his toes, just like SRL, SRR, or ali..

    So the question really is....?

Should he take punishment to give punishment...?
    (Like fighters such Margarito)

Are Should he give Punishment and avoid Punishment..?
    (as he is doing now....)

I think that the people that call him a runner or what ever are just the poeple that desperatly want to see him lose. They should go watch the amateur bouts where floyd loses and shut up-but i agree whats the point of standing getting smashed in the head when you can avoid the shots and stil come out winning by KO...

It's a way to denigrate 'athletic' boxers.

I think most people rather see fighters stand there and get thier head smash, rather than move out the way, and smash the other persons head...

          Back to the question...

It's usually people who prefer brawlers. Or a fighter who happens to brawl. They'd prefer they abandon THEIR advantages and play into the style of the fighter they feel can win in a brawling contest.

Pretty sad, when you think about it.

Well Roy Jones Jr was 'athletic' wouldn't you say? But he was a heck of a lot more exciting to watch.
