And that changes the fact that Calzaghe has essentially only traveled within walking distance to fight?

EXCEPT.. Calzaghe has traveled "as far" as Germany and Denmark. Whereas Hopkins has went to France and Ecuador.. So, technically.. I think Hopkins has done MORE WORLD travelling.

You want to hate on the Americans, that's fine. I don't care. But don't call ANYONE uneducated, if you don't know that little tid bit of information, yourself.
Firstly mucker...Joe isn't the one spouting **** like Hopkins about being a "world" fighter.
When did Hopkins have a "Title Fight" outside the USA?
Apart from being down twice to Supermercado when they "Drew"?
When did Joe fight for a Title outside the UK?
Technically England Wales Scotland are all different countries.
Also Hopkins Lost to a Prime Jones who just like Hopkins didn't want anything to do with Joe.
In fact Roy didn't want anything from a fighter who may just beat him did he?
Anyway you miss my point of course.

He was put on his ass in the first fight, and did get the draw. I've seen clips of the first fight, but not the entire fight. What I've read was that Hopkins did do enough to justify the draw, kind of how JMM did with Pac.
It wasn't even in the States, yet the American, despite being knocked down, received a draw.

Hopkins also claimed elevation problems which effected his breathing or something like that.

Winky fought in Europe, then came back to the States. Why? you go where the money is.

no but he travelled again and won convincingly everytime.. Hopkins did not so the point I'm trying to make is that Hopkins point that Calzaghe is a European fighter only is moot as Hopkins didn't travel either.

This is all irrelavent though because Calzaghe will destroy Hopkins.

I've seen the fight Hopkins did not dominate the fight the way JMM did to Pac after the knockdowns it was quite boring apart from the knockdowns. It was a Mercado win.

Hopkins went where the money was? he was offered decent money by Warren to fight Calzaghe early but declined.

I missed no point. But you have no proof or evidence that either Jones OR Hopkins ducked Calzaghe. Unless, you want to take the word of Frank Warren at face value, which is your problem. Not mine.

Furthermore, Hopkins lost his first fight ever. Barring that, he's lost to Jones and Taylor. That's essentially two losses, since the rematch with Taylor was as close as the first, and pretty pointless, to be honest with you.

Has Hopkins been knocked down? Yes. Just like when Calzaghe went down to Byron Mitchell. It happens. Don't make it seem like it's any more than it is. Everyone goes down. That's what happens when you take punches to your face for a living.

I'm a Calzaghe fan. I think he'll most likely beat Hopkins, too. But don't make it like Joe is this invincible winning machine. Hopkins has a very good chance, even at 57.

Roy was sitting there at LH for many years. Joe only need to move up one division and make some noise. Come to the States like Woods did.

The Money is in the States. Roy was the Name you have to go chasing.
