It's ridiculous really, because Mayweather himself said "Hatton is one of the toughest opponents I have ever faced!" so even though Hatton lost, he obviously gained Mayweathers genuine respect which in itself is a massive achievement because Floyd isn't one to dish out praise so lightly.

Well it's good to hear this guys sentiments aren't the general flavor in Britain, I think Hattons potentially got a good future at light-welter and he still has a chance to truly cement his name in the history books once and for all by attempting to dominate the division, although I think there will be some very tough tests to follow.

Hatton doesn't just have fans because he is a great boxer, he has fans because he is a genuine down to Earth guy who doesn't flaunt about being famous, he acts like any normal person, enjoys a pint in his local, plays on the darts team, supports his local football club. He's always been an underdog and losing to Mayweather makes him even more of an underdog against his next opponent, and us Brits love a good underdog!!

Thats good to hear, but losing to Mayweather might not necessarily make him more of an underdog because he did deliver a respectable performance and Mayweather said he's one of the toughest he's faced. I wonder if Hatton might be given even better odds at the bookies as a result of this fight. I guess it depends on his next opponent when alls said and done!

Must be the only geezer in the UK saying anything bad about Hatton. Silly twat went all the way to Vegas to support him but yet the moment he loses to the best fighter in the world he slags him off.
