Naz was sold to the youngster by his promoter Frank warren back in the 90's but Naz took it to the other level with his ring entrance, Trash talking, KO power, arrogance and flashness...He brought the spotlight to Boxing and british boxing, I mean the man had a contract with adidas for Millions adverts everywhere, Alway on TV talkshows..but the money and fame got to him and he became Obsess with his image, Nobody was allow to critise him and he refuse to listen to anyone including his trainer, That was the begining of the end for Naz.
Naseem Hamed... love him or hate him???

The end for Naz started the moment he stopped listening to Ingle and made his brother his manager.
It's a real shame as Naz should have been a one of the greats...
Love him or hate him, he was good for the sport, but he did act like a **** most of the time. (see Mayweather).
I think he wasted his talent, if that outrageous style of his could have be honed by a real top class trainer (and if Hamed was actually willing to train properly) who knows what could have happened. He had devastating power.Comment

I think that most people I know thought Hamed was a great character and a better boxer....but somewhere along the way the ****iness and self belief turned to arrogance, and thats when instead of wanting to see him win I along with a lot of others could'nt wait to see him get knocked the **** out....Its been said a thousand times before but Khan is going down the same road.Comment

one thing i agree is that he was good for boxing. im sure that it was a guy that attracted a lot of people into the sport and thats something that boxing always needs.Comment

That says exactly why I didn't care for him. One of the most arrogant fighters who never seemed like he had even an ounce of nice in him.Comment

I gotta make you right there mate, Hamed was a ****head when he was an amatuer too.
How Nas conducted himself wasn't an act, he's always like that.
A lad I know boxed him years ago as an amatuer , the lad said as soon as he got to the venue Hamed came straight over with his fists out saying look at these hands while you can boy, these are the hands thats gonna knock you out. The lad I knows coach blasted Hamed tho growled at him "**** off son before I knock you out" lol Hamed ****ed off sharpish.
I never liked Hamed, Barerra shown him up for what he is.Comment

I personally like the guy, i just love his entrances, the way he fights and even though he is arrogant he puts a great show.
