Not a chance. But if he beats Marquez impressively and then moves up and beats Diaz, he definitely moves ahead of Floyd.

NO, Floyd would stay at #1.

When Calzaghe beats The Racist he should share the #1 p4p spot with Mayweather IMO. Beating Hopkins is more impressive than beating a blown up 5,6 140 pounder in Hatton.

Floyd isn't a blown up light weight?

Floyd is 5,8 and he is a decent sized Welterweight, he looked a lot bigger and stronger than Hatton. If Calzaghe beats Hopkins, Floyd will still be the Ring magazine #1 p4p on paper, but in my mind Calzaghe should be right alongside him sharing the #1 p4p spot.

no I don't think he compares to Floyd because ain't only number 1 due to his opponents but the way he disposed of them, TRUE Boxing and Manny can't do that, at least he can't do it like Floyd can, there is a certain finesse that Manny DOES NOT hold above Floyd and It think with opposition being so close THAT is the determining factor, SKILLS, Floyd is Better than Manny Pacquiao when it comes to winning meaning NO TIE.. 100

A man that didn't belong in a division he already ****** in and dropped back down because he ****** in it? Then he goes back up to finally lose in the division he already knew he was bad in? Yup, that's an accomplishment. For me, Manny KOing Marquez would be huge but doubtful if he couldn't do it the first time around. I think if Manny does beat Marquez though, it would make him more solid as the #1 P4P. Marquez is a whole lot more than Hatton will ever be. Oh god, what's that I hear? The size 5 shoes of all Floyd's followers about to jump on me, 10 vs 1 because I insulted their undefeated champ. Ya know what, I'll take my, stepping out cue right about now.
                I agree everything you said.

Please take a look at the range of reasons and opinions and then ask yourself this simple question before making up your mind? Who is the better opponent Juan manuel Marquez or Ricky Hatton? The obvious answer is Marquez. Please consider the fact that Floyd fought a guy in ricky Hatton who already proved he has no business at 147. Just too small physically. Floyd going in had quite a few physical advantages alone. Marquez and Pacquiao are competitvely matched and both have fought many many quality opponents. Honestly if Pacman dominates marquez and I dont mean no lucky 1st or 2nd round KO, I mean domination, beat down, he should take over the #1 spot until Floyd steps up and fights a prime p4p guy in his own division. Now who could that be??????

If he destroys Marquez (WHICH HE WON'T), then he beats out Calzaghe for #2 on my list. Even if he destroys Juan Diaz (which he WON'T) he still has not equalled Floyd.

I'm not so sure that It would be that much more Impressive than what Floyd did to Hatton.Anyways I do not think we are going to have to worry about that scenerio playing out because Marquez wins this fight by decision.
