I took it up at the age of 28, I can't believe you thought 18 was too late. I'm never gonna turn pro but I do it for the love of the sport.

Ignore all the people who say you can't go to boxing until you're in shape. You can get in shape by boxing. Trouble with doing exercise purely to get in shape is that it's horrible to do and the goals are too vague. I don't mind running to help me with my boxing but running to lose weight I can't apply myself to.

eh mayb you n me can spar I'm 15 in year 11 weigh a lot less than you but I've been boxing for about a year and a bit. how long is your reach? to be any good at a weight class with your height your need to be at lightweight or superfeather. Lightwelter might be ok or you could fight in open class.

Id really like to get into boxing but dont think I have the chin for it. I think Id just get pounded, plus the boxing clubs round here are full of 20-30 year old men so its a bit intimidating. Might get a bag and some weights and just do ti until im confident, im 6ft and 137lb

I'm 6 foot and weigh 9 and a half stone and have a fair amount of muscle packed on from boxing, badminton and going to the gym. I'm also pretty light because i am really young and despite being really young know more about boxing than half these idiots on here. If you wanna take up boxing push your weight wayyy down.
              your way too skinny!
