well, lets see, first off, if your fat, workout and get skinny and then u'll be able to do the "training stuff". second off, u dont know if u can throw a punch or take a punch if you've never boxed before, so i dono how u came to that conclusion, and dont say because of streetfights, cuz u'll get laughed at. go to the gym, talk to the trainer, and start working out, dont worry how u look when u first start.

u gotta crawl before u walk. good luck, you'll need it!

Boxing should get you into shape. You should start running to increase your stamina. Everyday. Increasing how far you run daily.

I just play alot of footy but I took a year off, I was surprised how unfit I was and I'm a slim guy. So I just started running, and running and running. Personally I can't enjoy sports if i'm gasping for air after 15 minutes.

theres a training and nutrition section on these forums, you're best off looking there on how best to lose that excess weight, boxing training is a good way of burning up those calories, good luck!

14 stones at 5 foot 5 is either a lie or you are obease. either way mate, lose the weight to find a girl not just for the boxing. if you have a girl then post a picture with you and her. it will look like the adams family.

if this isnt a joke thread then i'm sorry if you are about to go and kill yourself.

the vision of a 5'5, 14 stone bloke running is funny.

Get outta here, you cant be serious.
14 stones at 5'5 is not good at all amigo.
First of all don't join a boxing gym, just run like you're running for your life.
              You're welcome.

LMFAO. listen at 14 stone you will be fighting people who are seriously built and your punch will amount to nothing especially at your weight class and you height you will get destroyed. You should be a lightweight or a super feather weight not a Crusierweight. I'm 6 foot and weigh 9 and a half stone and have a fair amount of muscle packed on from boxing, badminton and going to the gym. I'm also pretty light because i am really young and despite being really young know more about boxing than half these idiots on here. If you wanna take up boxing push your weight wayyy down.
