No, but if hatton stays at 140 for 3 years he could face Witter, malinaggi, J.Diaz, D.Diaz, Pacman, etc.

He could retire well above mayweather on the all time list if mayweather leaves without much more ado.

Pundit.. Floyd doesn't have the stubby physique that Hatton has.

i like hatton. but he is good at 140 because he holds and bullies the untire fight. that does not impress me at all.

elaborate on that. say floyd retires without fighting again, who exactly does hatton have to beat to be considered better than floyd despite losing to him in a ko

I give him some credit for challenging himself, and I dont think he has really ducked people. The closest he has come to CLEARLY skirting a challenge is this "vacation" he is taking from Cotto combined with verbally refusing to fight Cotto but not Mosley in the future. Even then, Floyd could easily still take the fight, so he does not really duck challenges unless what some ppl say is true, that Floyd chose not simply Baldomir over margarito, but MITCHELL over margarito. I really dont know.

But still, Floyd moving up in weight is nothing compared to Hatton because he has long arms and is pretty tall.

Yeah but he's physically more suited at 147 being 5'8 with long arms. Not counting his boxing ability which ennables him to fight at these weights.

I'd say if he unifies or comes close to it at 140 and has wins over Pacquiao, J. Diaz, D. Diaz, Witter, Malinaggi, and Marquez he would blow floyd out of the water. Just Marquez, J.Diaz, and Pacman put him slightly ahead IMO.

Remember, everyone considers Duran to be better than Leonard even though he lost 2 of 3 to him.

obviously, but that is not realistic for hattons abilities, i think he loses most of those fights.. and if floyd wins another fight against the top challenger before he retires, preferably agaisnt a true welter, nobody is touching him in this era. period.
