to be honest, you cant help but feel for some of the people who didint hold a grudge against floyd and really just wanted to see their guy win, that account of what just happened was echoed probably all across britain.

Hatton came to fight & he gave it his all. He was unbeaten in 43 fights & is 1 of the top P4P fighters in the world. He just ran into the best fighter in the world. PBFM put on a brilliant performance & beat Hatton at his own game.

Hatton & co thought they had mayweather sussed, but what happened???

Hatton thought that mayweather would just stand in front of him like billy grahams body belt, and crumble from all the "pressure"...

IMO Hatton's heart & activity was the only thing you can give him credit for on dec 8th... but at the end of the day he was outclassed by ring smarts, skill, speed and in the end power.

In the build up team mayweather accused hatton of being one dimensional, and on the 8th of December hatton proved them right...

          pretty boy vs. hatton

i have to admit i have wanted to see mayweather get beat for a few years now. however, after watching him this saturday, despite his big mouth i have nothing but respect for him as a fighter. he is clearly the best. his skills are above and beyond anyone elses, let alone how athletic he is. the only fighters who honestly posed a threat at beating him were JLC, zab judah--he did win the first 5/6 rounds against mayweather until he tired and went a.d.d as well as oscar de la hoya. de la hoya is a 35 year old fighter who gets busy only one a year for the last 3 years. shane is still great but is too seasoned as well. 4 years ago shane or oscar probably would have beat him but as today there is no one out there that can handle him.

I don't mean the victory Addy. I mean the assesment that Hatton's pressure was the style that would frustrate Floyd to the point where he would crumble. I believed Floyd would adapt to Hatton's style and that would be all she wrote. THAT conformation tastes just like steak, mmmm mmmm.

              Too Much Bias!!!

This is the type of bias that makes for problems in this sport, this guy is supposed to be an expert and he was dying for the better man to lose... Ricky never had a shot before, during or after the fight... Floyd is the real deal, Leonard, Duran (please) and Hearns would have had trouble with him... He is a complete fighter....

“Yeah, you’re right,” I said. “He’ll probably really retire this time.”

“Oh, jeez, he might as well,” said Kenny. “There ain’t no one out there that can beat that man I saw in there tonight.”
Yup, Kenny said it all there. He'd eat Cotto for breakfast, Mosley can't hang with the big boys anymore, and Williams and Margarito don't bring enough $$$ to the table.

Nope, Floyd will probably stay retired this time.

i must be in the minority then, i never really doubted at all floyd could win simply because he had already seen the style before, multiple times, floyd said it best when he said "thats been the plan for me since 1987", a man who is as intelligent ring-wise as floyd, when he knows something is coming, he puts a plan in place to stop it and adapts. If you dont have a counterplan for mayweather, youre ****ed.

I was one of the ones drinking the Kool-Aid mixed up the Manchester faithful and I was gulping down every mug of it. I couldn’t be wrong (or so I figured) as I’ve been on a good run lately and I can’t remember the last time I was wrong about the outcome of a big fight. I pegged Kelly Pavlik by knockout over Jermain Taylor and I said that Joe Calzaghe was a sure bet over Mikkel Kessler.

But hey, I wasn’t the only one telling you all that Hatton was going to win. There were thousands that made the trek across the pond from England to cheer on “Our Boy Ricky” and as they sang “Walking in a Hatton Wonderland” I was singing right along with them. They bet thousands of pounds on Hatton at the parlors in Vegas. In fact, the amount wagered on Hatton was the most for any British fighter in boxing history. And truth be told, about 20% of us so-called expert boxing writers were picking Hatton to win too. [details]
The only people who were ****** enough to pick Hatton to win were guys just like this moron lol..All the kid's who "hoped, Ricky would win."

lol It's like you kids completely forgot the Collazo fight and let HBO's 24/7 get to your head..

Anyways, I can't believe half of the **** I'm reading on these forums and in some of the press. Been too busy to post, but I got some posts to make, lol cause all this **** is obsured.

Be real? I was 100% sure that Mayweather was going to win this fight. There was NEVER a doubt in my mind. My only "doubt" was when and how. I thought by TKO by cuts by the 10th. But a convincing KO in the same round works well enough for me.

I can't believe the whiners on here. "What excuses will Mayweather fans come with after Hatton wins..." thread has me LOL right now. Yet thread after thread has Mayweather haters on here doing JUST THAT.

Whatever. Excuses be damned. Their is only onnnnnnne RICKY HATTON? Nope. There are 39 muthphukas just like him.
