Is 147 too dangerous for Floyd

I'm not "hating" (Jesus, I hate the way you even have to specify that around here these days ) but it seems a very dangerous division for the two guys who fought this weekend to be in. Obviously The Paler more so, but even for Floyd it strikes me as a step too far.

Forget the plaudits around him, P4P will only stretch so far, and there's only so far that we should expect it to.

The guy's 5'8 with a 72" reach... is there any logical reason why we should expect him to beat a 6'1 guy with a ten inch reach advantage in Paul Williams? The guy who throws dozens of punches a round? Floyd is regarded as the P4P greatest boxer on Earth, not the greatest boxer full stop. Is 140 realistically where he should stop, pending exceptions?

No, but he would be expected to fight Floyd if he remains there, no?

        Miguel Cotto
5'7 67' arm reach and Floyd wants NONE.

Sure, but you dont switch divisions just to run from one fighter.

But even that's fair enough IMO... Cotto's a big bastard, a proper Welter, irrespective of his stats.

1 Loss if he ever fights Floyd.

Floyd wants none of anyone right now. Not because he's worried about any of them, but because he's been boxing for two decades and has had a extremely busy 2007.

Cotto isn't a star who's been followed all year by camaras and media interviews. He just fought a bum, a tired former champion coming off two losses, and a 36 year old who hasn't had a belt in 3 years. No one cares about Cotto except for you and his deranged fans and Mayweather would make easy work out of him. All he has to do is box circles around him like Shane said.

Cotto is bulkier with a bigger frame than Mayweather also. There is no one at WW who is smaller than Mayweather and the only one comparable is Zab Judah.
