YES. I was hoping for this, Ricky's gunna maul this dude, and finally shut his ****in' mouth. I DETEST Paulie Malinaggi, and Ricky's gunna eat him alive.

I would pick Ricky if this fight is made but Paulie is nothing to play with, sleep on him and he can pull off a Spinks on you.. 100

If Paulie gets the same ref he had in the Ndou fight, Hatton loses badly.

I feel you though and maybe Joe should have been a little harder on Floyd, he got away with a lot too but overall I think there was no evading that outcome, Ricky's style was head first and it showed when he hit that turn buckle head first.. 100
Well, with 20" arms, Ricky certainly can't fight on the outside. It's amazing how much he's accomplished really considering his physical deficits. Early in the fight he did a pretty good job of avoiding Floyd's straight right as he worked his way in to punching range. Then when he did get in close, either the ref would break it up right away, or he'd get an elbow in his throat, or Floyd holds and hits him.

Ricky is accused of holding a lot, but usually what he does is come in and clinch, and then work the body and try to land a punch to the head as he jumps out of range. Against Floyd, it looked like he landed one big hook to the body the whole night, and didn't even try another. It was much too big of a ring (as evidenced by the crappy undercards) for him to catch Floyd quick enough to still have enough energy to work on him.

After the point deduction for hitting one of the ropes (not sure why Floyd flopped through the ropes, but he sure stayed there long enough to make sure a point was deducted) and seeing that it was now impossible to have any chance of winning on points, as he was already behind, I think Ricky just forced it too much. He didn't side step as he was coming in like he was earlier. And in the 10th he tried to run in throwing a big punch, and that was it. I think the turnbuckle did as much damage if not more than that perfect left hook Floyd threw, but either way, he was through.

I don't think Ricky has a bad jaw, as he ate a LOT of hard straight rights from Floyd that night. If he can get his confidence back, he should do fine, though I think he is better suited for 140, the WWs are just too big these days. Floyd isn't, but his skills allow him to still compete.

Even though am glad Ricky's going after this fight, he can't keep ignoring Junior Witter, That's the fight that needs to happen.

At 140, Hatton is king. I can't see anybody beating him at that weight class IMO.

collazo had hatton out on his feet in the 12th. i had a feeling floyd would stop hatton_ but not by ko_ stoppage by cuts. i was hoping hatton would make the upset_ but im a realist_ i knew floyd would win. i dont wanna take away from floyd's victory_ and he finally delivered a some what interesting performance_ but he shouldn't have been fighting hatton_ he should have been fighting cotto_ where he knows there's a 50/50 chance of him losing

I disagree. Malignaggi doesn't have the power to keep Hatton off him and he's not an inside fighter, Floyd showed in their fight that he could fight in the inside and the outside.
