Corrales was more of an infighter though, he really didn't use his height and reach to his advantage. Plus Williams is 6'2" and has an 82 inch reach, which is just rediculous.

definitely threw me for a loop.

onto the discussion - cotto IS a special fighter, as hes demonstrated in his recent body of work.

i'm definitely leaning towards floyd in this match-up, but cotto was to go down against zab's left's and his just overall better skill set, migs wins. then he was going to get blitzed and got old school on shane and showed him how to get in with the jab and showed dude that he is there to win it, he did.

yeah, cotto is definitely special enough to get a W against mayweather.

Williams height won't matter because he doesn't use it to his advantage also Williams has a lazy jab which would allow PBF to slip the jab easy and be on the inside. I don't think Williams is good enough right now or will be within the next year to beat PBF unless he improves vastly next year.

Just his size is special. Nothing else.

I'm not sure that Mayweather couldn't beat Cotto and Williams. I'd love to see it though.
Both fights (as the Hatton one did) would see Floyd tested. That's what I want to see. Saturday's fight was fantastic and I want more. Pity the fan who tries to persuade me as to why Floyd shouldn't fight Cotto or Williams.
Even if it WAS a foregone conclusion for Floyd (and I don't think either fight would be) I want to see MORE!!!!!
A couple more of those and I will be a FAN.

Now I will admit he's done the most boxing in his life in the shane mosely fight.

but he is definitely no boxer.. He's a puncher/brawler with bad defense that is very strong for his weight class.

dude, don't be so dense. look at the vic sosa fight, and pretty much anything before that and tell me miguel is no boxer.

                get the **** outta here.

dog... what jab does he possess to be called a boxer?(not onetime mosely.. which was great though) what foot movement does he display?

                  And head movement? slipping?

Cotto is great... but boxers have a tendency to do those 4 things decently well...

I love cotto he's a great guy./.. but he isnt a boxer man.. just ask yourself which one of those things he does well?

It actually shows how good he is(or how much power).. with virtually none of those he has went undefetaed and beatin the likes of mosely and judah... Cotto is one of a kind.

EDIT:Hey man if you can prove me wrong i will glady take my statement back.

I dont know what fight you were watching but Corrales threw maybe 10 punches that entire night. And yes accuracy is a must if you're putting power on the punches, but if you're just flicking them out you dont need it, they will hit because of the speed.

Where did Coralles' performance come into the question???... You asked me if he ever fought anyone comparible to Williams's size and workrate..
