He uses his jab a lot and one thing that I noticed, particularly in the DLH fight, is that Floyd doesn't liked to be jabbed at. And I totally forgot about Vernon Forrest. Good answer xzworks.

Are you trying to compare Paul Williams to any fighter Floyd has faced in the past? He has a big enough size advantage combined with his work rate to make the fight interesting.

Cotto is the top dog in the welterweight division besides Floyd. They need to fight.

This is a good point.. It's also a south paw jab.. The potential is there on that one...

I think that has been proven by now.. SO sending in Cotto is just going to be more of the same..

It's going to take someone special.. Someone as fast.. someone as smart.. and someone as Accurate... With some serious POP..

Zab Judah could have been THAT man.. but he is a mental midget.. Is there anyone out there with Zab's Skill set.. and some mental Fortitude??

              I dont think so...
i take it you didn't see the mosley fight. if you had, you'd know that cotto is more finesse than you give him credit for.

I posted about this in another thread, PW is tall lanky incredible wingspan, great workrate and the kicker is a southpaw. Floyd has some difficult with southpaws as do most fighters because he is not as used to them. The angle to punch them differs as well as the angle they punch from.

In recent memory he has been legitimately hurt by a southpaw (Corley rd. 4 I believe) Mitchell tagged him a few times as did Judah (some people felt that Judah should have been credited with a knockdown early in that fight when Floyd touched the canvas with his glove. Paul Williams will never get a chance to fight floyd even if they offered him 50mil. LOL Just kidding everybody has a price but you get my drift.

If he changes bits of his style. He gets drawn in too easily but if he learns to use his height and reach to more of his advantage including his workrate then he doesn't need to be special. What would really help him is if he kidnapped Tommy Hearns and got Hearns to tell him the secret of his straight right.
