Lots of people think he'd beat Mayweather (or be competitive) based on reputation. I don't see it. He's solid, but by no means spectacular.
Well, you don't HAVE to see it. But he made a PRIME Cotto work his ass off, some say he WON the fight. He's a slightly faded fighter but he still makes it a close fight.

Well at least you've come down from immediately dismissing Mosely as against Floyd............oh Horseman...lol. You're still high from last night.

        Anybody disagree?
shame on you for saying such a thing. lol. i stopped reading right there.
        1. Shane and Floyd are different fighters. 2. Floyd is in his prime and Shane is a bit past it.

I got a second bet for you.... Mosley has a better chance of fighting PBF than Cotto. And yes, past his prime.

I've been saying it for 2 years now. It has nothing to do with last night. Mosley is just not on Floyd's level at this point. And believe me, I'm still dismissing him against Floyd. I'd have no problem putting up points/money/whatever else.

Those two won't be fighting. The issue is that Cotto did beat Mosely and that was a major feather in his hat. If Cotto has the ability to beat Mosely, he has the ability to beat Floyd, IMO. The question of who would actually win is another matter. My estimation of Floyd increased last night, but honestly I do not see Hatton beating Cotto either. It has to do with the size difference.

No. Cotto would give Floyd a major run for his money. And, I'd bet on Cotto to win. But, if Floyd did beat Cotto........the public would be satisfied...and Floyd could retire into ATG land without questions.

Cotto like he beat Mosley. Adapt and prevail. Always.

Cotto would be another impressive victory, but do you really believe that he is the kind of fighter to push someone to ATG status?

And as I said, beating Mosley (although some gave it to shane) was a nice win for Cotto, but it really isn't as impressive as people make it seem. Mosley is not the fighter he once was. But I do agree (and have said it for a while now) cotto would give Floyd a tougher fight than any other welter.
