No buying this. Hatton is far from being done and has a few more great years left. He simply needs to go back down to 140. Lewis's remarks are off kilter. We could same thing about him after McCall and Rahman defeated him.
Lennox Lewis: "Ricky Hatton Should Retire"

Yes but Lewis's point was that he went back and avenged his defeats, whereas he thinks Hatton isn't capable of beating PBF in a rematch - therefore he should retire.Comment

He has plenty to prove. He just got beat up. That's going to wear on him until he gets another W. And he has more to prove anyway if he wants to be considered great. He's still young, he's still a good fighter. No reason to retire unless he's fed up, and I highly doubt that.Comment

Ricky cannot fight at Welter
I respect Ricky's courage, but he has no business at welterweight... He was dominated and has to rethink that hit and hold style... The better guys are going to start taking advantage of his weaknesses in defense.Comment

Based on what Fatton has shown against guys that can box(Collazo) and a slickster like Floyd, Witter is the wrong match-up for Fatton. Witter comes from the same school that Hamed came from and that style is confusing as hell!Comment

He is only 29 he still has fights in him. He had already been exposed by Collazo (a fight unless you are british everyone believes he lost) at welterweight. Slick fighters will always give him problems because his defense is his offense. I don't know you can call him a jr-welterweight automatically because as you age it is harder to lose the weight. He also walks around 30 to 40lbs heavier when he is not in training. I thought it would be easier for him because welterweight is seven lbs. less that he has to lose. Welterweight is just too deep of a division more than anything else for him to be a major player.Comment
