You think his performance warrants a rematch?

You forgot to mention urango, who some ppl to this day believed was also robbed from Hatton. So theres two opponents on ricky hattons record who ppl believe beat him already. Collazo and Urango

You better add Cortez to that list then.

          Hey all,

I didn't watch the fight (don't have the "luxury" of sky and couldn't latch onto someone to watch it) besides I have a passing interest in it, which admittedly is slowly growing.

But surely if he's a light-welterweight boxer and he fought at full welterweight why are people calling for his retirement? I don't understand that. Surely people should be saying well done for giving it a go.

Feel free to 'educate me' on the finer points of boxing! (lol)

There is no doubt the better fighter won. Yes Cortez was crap but to be honest I don't want to watch two guys leaning on each other all night holding with one hand and hitting with the other. They were both guilty of it and it was ugly at times.

Hatton needs to grow a defense, reason lewis says retire now is because someone will seriously hurt hatton soon and he will be put in a hospital bed if not in the ground.
If that's the case then why the **** is Hatton is on the P4P list? Or the media hyping Hatton as a potentinal threat to Mayweather? I'm not a Hatton fan, but you have Mayweather fans bragging about this win when they probably knew all along this guy was some unskilled slugger. I mean you pay $55 to see a competitive match, like a 50-50 outcome, not a skilled fighter against a unskilled fighter.

He did it waaay too much though totally ruining Hatton. I don't mind a ref breaking it up but not every 2 mins at the slightest contact.

And we were robbed of seeing Floyd under pressure. The guy might retire now.
