floyd mayweather doesn't want this fight for a reason

all his fans don't have the slightest idea.

all the logic implied in the mayweather fan responses

    are ignorant.

this should be a fight you want to see.

Money Mayweather is scared of Cotto he knows that cotto has everything to beat him but speed. Cotto is the best welterweight out there, everytime they mention cotto he brushes it off.

        floyd knows.

his fans will be in for a rude awakening.

a 2 year layoff would only serve for an excuse for floyd and his fans.

I never liked Cotto cause i thought he was one dimensional but his last few fights against Mosley and Judah hes showed some great boxing ability. He also is a much bigger fighter than Floyd and punches harder than any fighter that Floyd has fought.

I didnt think that Hatton had a chance in the fight until the 1st 2 round where he was putting pressure. But then again Hatton is not in his weight class and he did get rocked the only time he fought at 147 against a Collazo that wasnt a stronger puncher.

Anyone who knows about boxing knows why this guy is supposably taking a 2 year break, hes ducking the real big names in the welter weight class. Especially Cotto. Why did he have to go and fight a 140 dude when there were so many big names in 147 like Cotto, Cintron, Mosley and a few others. Im not knocking hatton but lets be for real, hes a 140 not a true 147. Cotto would pulverrise this dude in a 6 rounds at the most ans so would these other guys. I reapeat the only reason hes leaving is cause hes scared to go in ring with areal welter weight champion and tthat Cotto.

dude you don know ****. cotto's been at welterweight for less time than floyd and has hadmore fights than floyd has had at welterweight already and against better opposition. floyd's ***** ass is trying to pull a sugar ray leonard. wait for cotto to beat everyone else and wear his body down to face him_ bull****. if floyd doesnt fight cotto immediately_ he's ganna lose respect from alot of people and they will all laugh at his claim of being the best fighter ever. they'lll even laugh at his claim being #1 P4P

You guys are a joke. You said the same about Baldomir and Margarito until you saw them get beat down, now it's Cotto. Well let me school you a minute. Cotto, like Margarito, like Baldomir and like Hatton is a counter-puncher's dream. Mayweather is not afraid. It's a trip though. As soon as your boy gets KO'd, here you come with Cotto. Then it will be Berto or Peterson or whoever the next up and coming is. Floyd has sealed his legacy. It may not be what he thinks but it's a great one.

Just make the fight with Margarito, it would be one hell of a fight, period.

Cotto is the harder puncher yes but since you have seen Cotto fight I am sure you seen him hurt on numerous occasions (Corley,Torres, Abdulaev even Judah). You mentioned Cotto vs Corley watch the fight again I watched the fight and he was given a GIFT stoppage. The fight was in PR and they were looking to stop that fight so when Corley dropped to a knee to collect himself the ref stopped it Even the nut hugging HBO commentators were saying it was a bad stoppage. Cotto was in a lot of trouble in that fight. Don't act like Cotto is flawless
