You're probably right, other than Cotto is the bigger man and has the better jab, done better against common opponents as well, but smart post!

With Cotto, Floyd won't have the reach advantage he did with Hatton. Cotto will be able to jab Floyd. Cotto is also alot bigger than Hatton. Cotto presents a totally different problem for Floyd to solve.

Floyd v. Cotto IS the fight. Although, I have to say that Margarito is even more dangerous for Floyd, Cotto would give Floyd a really contested battle, IMO.

The difference between Cotto and the rest of the major welters...ie..Margarito, Williams, etc... is that in many respects Floyd DOES need Cotto to satisfy public demand. A win over Cotto will do the trick for Floyd. He could then retire without clouds over his head.

Im thinking that this fight will take place next year around this time,i dont believe Floyd will retire now he will just take a rest and fight Cotto late next year and retire undefeated 40-0-27 because he will stop Cotto in 8 Cotto is too slow and chin is suspect Floyd is too smart and good for him Cotto is good but again Floyd is on another level

One thing I've noticed about Cotto is that he can adapt to an opponents style just like Mayweather can, Cotto has very good ring intelligence.
