Do You Agree Ricky Has The Style To Beat Floyd?

Yet, I'd be willing to bet that Castillo will have done better than Hatton does on Saturday.OH,,,it merits a response alright. A response of: Well said.
Floyd has never faced a fighter like Hatton. Never. Hatton is relentless, accurate, and has the stamina of a thoroughbred. And, he has a great chin. You cannot compare Chavez and Castillo to Hatton. He's a totally different ballgame.Comment

I'm merely distinguishing Hatton stylewise from Chavez and Castillo. Hatton was compared to those fighters earlier in this thread.
But, I will say that Hatton already showed his stuff against Castillo....a Castillo that was past his prime, yes....but still formidable IMO. And, I do think Hatton is more formidable than Chavez.
In the end, styles make fights and Floyd has not faced anybody like Hatton before. Therefore, triangulation is a useless enterprise when analysing Hatton v. other Mayweather opponents.Comment

However, you can compare skill-sets. And Mayweather is the superior technician, in my opinion. He has the tools to neutralize a style like Hatton. I happen to think.Comment

Perhaps. But, counter-punchers generally (IMO) have problems with swarmer/brawlers like Hatton. This may be a style that doesn't suit Floyd. Remember N'dou was fairly successful, but didn't have the accuracy or skill needed to finish what he started. In any event, nobody has been able to knock off Hatton. That says something for his "skill set."Comment

Except.. he MAY have lost to Collazo.. Like Mayweather probably lost to Castillo. So, neither can say they are perfect.
I don't really consider Mayweather a counter-puncher, however. He's more of a pot-shot artist. He can get off, without his opponent throwing first. He can counter when needed though. And handles in-fighters well with a nice shoulder roll.
I'd still like to bet you some points on this one.Comment

Past his prime was an understatement..did you see Castillo vs. Ngoudou...I scaroed that fight 114-114 a draw....Castillo was shot to ****..that win proved NOTHING to me.I'm merely distinguishing Hatton stylewise from Chavez and Castillo. Hatton was compared to those fighters earlier in this thread.

I've already bet points on this one. I'm done as far as that goes.Except.. he MAY have lost to Collazo.. Like Mayweather probably lost to Castillo. So, neither can say they are perfect.
