****, these are some weak flame wars.
Do You Agree Ricky Has The Style To Beat Floyd?

What are you saying, you like flame wars? Anyways as much as I hate this match up and as much as I can't stand either fighters, I'll add my 2 cents since everybody is talking about it. Floyd in the past had trouble with pressure fighters like Jesus Chavez and JLC. In the Chavez fight, Floyd allowed Chavez to press him against the ropes and pummel him, and he rarely countered. Probably because he was scared he would of broke his hands again. In the first JLC fight Floyd complained that his hands were broken, then came back in the second fight and won it more convincingly. Ricky Hatton does have the style to beat Floyd Mayweather especially if he pressures him against the ropes and pounds to the body. I think the reason why Hatton ducked Mayweather two years ago is because he wasn't ready, but his last four fights he has improved in his skills and technique that he can possibly win the match.Last edited by Boxingwizard; 12-06-2007, 02:25 AM. -
Not a simple question. No style has been shown to beat Mayweather. Hatton does what Jesus Chavez tried and Carlos Hernandez sort of tried and Castillo tried, and it does not work. The difference is Hatton keeps the momentum up longer, he's better conditioned. So the bull rush style doesn't work, but the way Hatton approaches it, it could. I just don't see it.Comment

The weight doesn't mean a damn thing.
Only nerds obsess over a couple pounds when both fighters are naturally not at the same weights.
Floyd could of milked 135 for years just like Hatton did at 140.
Both are little guys. Floyd arguable is the 'littler' guy.
Weight means, Nothing. It would mean something if Hatton was fighting Cotto or Margarito. But he's not.Comment
