Thats funny.. Being a Hockey fan.. I just dont hear these guys ever say ****..unless it's complimentary... I wonder how much trash talk goes on nascar.. or ever international Football(soccer).. I think that trash talk is pretty much a American thing...
I could be wrong BJ... But Trash talk seems to be isolated to NFL and NBA.. and of course Boxing and any combat sport.. which you are right.. is part of the game..

But what I am saying is... You cant call the people you fight BUMs... and then say you the best ever for beating them.. You have kinda shot yourself in the foot at that point... NO?

at this point it seems all odlh is worried about is padding his pockets! it's nuts though because he has more money than any other boxer. i mean come on talk of fighting hatton who is at 140! he even said he was interested in fighting pac! i am disappointed in him. he needs to retire!

Yeah sure, he fought and embarrased an atg welterweight champ in his prime. Gave Mosley his chances to move up. Took on Quartey when Trinidad didn't want to. Went all the way up to meet Hopkins in his prime at 160. Then at 34 he takes on the best fighter of the following generation in a fight no one thought he could win. Oscar never took the tough fights, did he?

But you can say Chavez and Whitaker were old, and Mayorga, Vargas, Carr, etc., had already lost to Trinidad. As if Oscar could change his birthdate

And beat a prime Gatti worse than Mayweather. Case closed.

Yeah you can say that about Chavez and Whitaker, but the reality is when you beat a guy older than you, people will say he was "past his prime." Whoever beats Hopkins next, for instance, will get no credit, but until then they're all ducking him.

And is Oscar supposed to make everyone undefeated before he fights them? He had no choice but to fight people Trinidad had already fought; Trinidad beat everyone there was to fight. I never understood this complaint.
