At 147 pounds floyd just doesnt have the type of power to knockout a fighter like ricky hatton.

Hatton's chin isnt made of steel but its not paper thin either.

Floyd also doesnt punch enough (on average) in a round to really start to switch the pace and put ricky hatton in any serious danger (35 or so punches a round isnt going to beat ricky hatton up). this is at 147...

when floyd fought Diego Corrales and Arturo gatti he didnt beat them with power...it was volume and consistancy...

we didnt see that from mayweather with de la hoya (infact i think de la hoya out landed him roughly by 100 punches) or with a few other recent opponents.

This whole arguement is crazy anyway because mayweather (if he's in his right mind) isnt going to brawl a ricky hatton or a miguel cotto...if he did he would be nuts.

Ricky hatton on the other hand has a better chance of breaking down floyd's defense and knocking HIM out than floyd does of out hustling and out powering hatton to a knockout.

      plain and simple.

and even that is highly unlikely...

this is going to be a 12 round decision (SD or MD) for either fighter...you wont see a knockout or even a unanimous decision (in all likelyhood).

lets just be honest with ourselves...

this is all propaganda to sell tickets (primarily to the casual fan who isnt as educated about some of todays fighters) who will get tricked into buying a ppv with the main intention of seeing a brawl.

Floyd said he was going to knockout de la hoya and it was going to be a "massacre" and what happened? floyd didnt really challenge oscar in a brawling sense (at any point of the fight) and he skated by barely with a split decision.

Floyd and company always say, "floyd's going to do this, floyd's going to do that" but in reality we know floyd wont do nearly any of it."

Will ricky hatton bring the fight and do his best to attempt to MAKE IT A BRAWL? yes he will...

i dont doubt it. infact i'd be surprised if he decided to box mayweather.

he wont...he's going to come in there and attempt to out hustle him and **** shots whether they land or not and get way ahead on punch output to win rounds.

floyd is always doing he's pad wanking (hitting the pads really fast and makes him look so good) but to a fan/boxer we all know its just him attempting to show off and on top of it there is little power for him at 147 AND he doesnt do it in fights...35 punches a round...thats not using his talent to its full potential.

but without getting any further off track lets just be honest...a 12 round decision is going to more than likely be the outcome to the fight.
      of course, of course
