If DLH can't fight people his own weight his ass should just retire. he has a fight every other year and never stays active. if you never turn on a car the motor will stick.. this is the same thing that has happened to de la hoya.. he should just give it up.Comment

Another ****in moron lol, jesus...it's like you guys march out like ****in ants.
lol Yeah, Oscar fought pre-Mickey Ward/Gatti. Mayweather faught the Gatti that had hamburger helper for brains. Not only that, but after that Gatti fight...Oscar went up to face Javier Castillejo and Vargas. Castillejo being the equivilant of Castillo for Mayweather in the sense Castillejo was a armored tank.Comment

I think Oscar can still fight, just aslong as he doesnt interrupt any big fights. If a fighter he's lookin at doesn't have the same paitence and just moves on to another big deal, Oscar shouldnt complicate it.
But he definantly needs to leave with atleast one more big fight. That Mayweather fight was like him just fighting a mosquito, he should/needs to go out ****in.Comment

This does not surprise me. This was Oscar's plan all along. He knows he can make a lot more money fighting Hatton than he did fighting Mayweather and it will be a very easy fight. He knows he will ko Hatton easily and he will definitely try to do it in fewer rounds than Mayweather does. He will pay Hatton less than half as much as he paid Mayweather and walk away with 70 million instead of the 50 million he earned against Mayweather. Great business plan. It shows that Oscar is as greedy as they come. He doesn't talk trash like Mayweather does, but he definitely sees dollar signs. Those 80,000 people who show up won't be paying $10 per ticket the way they did for the Calzaghe-Kessler fight.
By the way, why aren't any of the boxing "experts" on this site criticizing Oscar for fighting a much smaller guy and doing iit for the money the way you guys criticized Floyd.Comment

Ohhhh know I see... yeah you really got me... he fought an over the hill Gatti... God thanks that Oscar never fought an over the hill Whitaker, and an over the hill Chavez... let's say twice *lol*... I mean if you don't like him, then say it, but don't bring arguments that are plain ******... everybody fights somebody who is over the hill, so what... but I get the point Floyd is not everybody... oh God what are your guys going to do, when he's gone one day *lol*
Many people someway take things when it comes to mayweather very personal and get insulting... do you know him personally, has he done anything to you??? I guess the people hating because he's everything that they could never be, that includes the bestComment

Hatton's lining up Oscarcar blockbuster in London
Hatton's lining up Oscar blockbuster in London-Metro co.uk
Six-weight world champion De La Hoya is already in talks with the camp about a projected Wembley Stadium showdown in May next year and admits: 'I would fight in London in a heartbeat.'
The 34-year-old De La Hoya has long spoken of his admiration for Hatton's fighting style and has been a regular in the Hit Man's off-Strip gym this week to help him put finishing touches to his game-plan for Mayweather.
De La Hoya said: 'I want to fight the biggest fight and it would be an honour to go to Hatton's capital city and fight him there in front of 80,000 supporters.
'These are the kinds of fights that people want and it could happen. When I fought Mayweather it felt like a sparring session. He didn't want to fight.
'I want to please my fans in my last two fights and we all know a fight with Ricky Hatton is going to be exciting.'
Hatton's lawyer Gareth Williams confirmed talks had opened over a possible fight against De La Hoya, which could take place irrespective of the result against Mayweather on Saturday night.
Williams said: 'The chances are very strong. We have strong links with Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy and we have had discussions with them about fighting Oscar at Wembley.
'It would be the perfect venue and we could look at selling in excess of 80,000 tickets.
'It wouldn't be a 3am fight. We'd looking to do it possibly on a Sunday evening. Americans have a tradition of watching sport on Sunday afternoons so it would be ideal that way.'
Hatton has studied tapes of De La Hoya's performance against Mayweather and is utterly confident that he possesses the necessary extra dimensions to succeed where the 'Golden Boy' only just failed.
Hatton said: 'It seems funny me criticising him, but if you look at De La Hoya he is a tactician and a combination puncher. Mayweather wants you to throw combinations so you miss a lot and get tired.
'Oscar has told me that he believes he would have won the fight if he could have done in the last six rounds what he did in the first six. He watched me train on Monday and believes I can do that.'
Hatton held court with the British media at his rented house in the Las Vegas suburbs late on Monday evening and bristled with confidence during an impressive one hour interview.
Part of Hatton's remarkable self-belief stems from the suggestion that Mayweather is taking him lightly, as perhaps underlined by the American's choice of the one-dimensional former opponent Carlos Baldomir as his sparring partner.
Hatton added: 'I was delighted when I saw he was sparring Baldomir. I get the impression that they view me as a strong, come-forward fighter who comes in straight lines. They don't feel I am as good as I am.
'Baldomir and Lovemore N'Dou are the two worst sparring partners he could have picked, in my opinion. They are slow, ponderous, plod forward and don't change angles or have the volume and variation of punches I have.
'I don't know if it's ego that he feels he only has to turn up. I couldn't care less about any lack of respect that might imply.
'I don't look at who he's beaten, or how many titles he's won, or who he beat in his last fight. I pick him apart bit by bit and think, 'can I beat him?' And the answer is, 'definitely'.
Hatton made his 'Grand Arrival' at the MGM Grand Casino today where he took the microphone and told his rowdy band of fans: 'On December 8 you come and watch me take the belt from this clown.Comment

I knew they wouldn't give a damn about the outcome of this bout. It would make a ton of money either way so they should make it happen.Comment
